Programme overview

XLVets Skillnet are hosting a "Understanding the basics of dentistry for Veterinary Nurses" event on Thursday 11th April 2024. This one-day session aims to help build nurses’ confidence in conducting dental consultations, enabling them to recognise common dental disease and post operative healing/abnormalities. The participants will learn about periodontal therapy and how to take and interpret intra-oral radiographs. Additionally, we will practice sharpening of instruments and how to take care of dental tools and equipment.

The course is targeted at both experienced and new veterinary nurses who wish to gain more confidence on how to approach COHATs and dental treatment in first opinion practice.
