XLVets Skillnet are hosting a two day "Intermediate Companion Dentistry" event on Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th June 2024. This comprehensive 2-day companion animal dentistry course will suit vets eager to advance their dentistry skills, with a specific emphasis on refining dental extraction techniques and addressing associated complications. The course features an extensive hands-on wet lab, providing delegates with valuable practical experience. The course aims to prepare vets to confidently tackle challenging aspects encountered in Stage 2 dentistry.
– Qualify and prepare patients effectively for challenging extractions
– Implement proper pain management protocols intraoperatively and postoperatively
– Execute quadrant extraction procedures in feline patients
– Perform complex extractions in canine patients
– Manage complications arising from dental extractions effectively
Dr Jerzy Paweł Gawor DVM, MRCVS, PhD, Dipl AVDC, Dipl EVDC, Fellow AVD Dr
Jerzy Paweł Gawor (1966) graduated in April 1992. He received his PhD in 1996. Since January 2009 Fellow Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. In 2015 successfully completed requirements and became Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC). At present Dr Gawor provides dental teaching services in European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies in Europe and Asia.
His main field of professional activity is dentistry, head and neck surgery and oncology. Several hundred advanced dentistry procedures a year have resulted in a wealth of skill and practical knowledge. Published and presented over 160 publications in veterinary dentistry.
