Programme overview
Join the Skinvet dermatology team, Kathryn Cuddy and Fiona O Brien for a collaborative session where we will give delegates the opportunity to work with real life dermatology patients. This novel approach means you will become more confident in your ability to work up dermatology cases and you will experience better patient outcomes as a result.
This session is aimed at small animal practitioners of all levels from the new graduate all the way up to the more experienced vet. We have a max number of 20 delegate places available.

- Identify common skin lesions, how to select the best sites for sampling, and how to pick the most appropriate sampling technique.
- Prepare samples for in-house microscopy, and how to perform skin cytology.
- Formulate an appropriate dermatology treatment plan, learn the expected outcomes of their treatment plan, with a particular focus on implementing long-term preventative plans. Participants will learn about the value of client communication during this process.
- A therapeutics discussion will take place, incorporating both systemic and topical therapy. This discussion will be further expanded to cover a broad range of dermatology therapeutics, and the importance of a skincare routine for long-term success.
