About XLVets Skillnet

Established in 2011, XLVets Skillnet is a not-for-profit Learning Network co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and our member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.

Of the 70+ Skillnet Ireland Learning Networks, we are the only Network dedicated exclusively to supporting the veterinary sector in Ireland. We do this through the provision of high-quality, sector-led, subsidised training and education.

We deliver training to over 2,000 trainees annually. Our training offers valuable opportunities to enhance or refresh our trainees skills, stay informed about the latest trends and best practices and connect with a network of professionals and industry experts.

Our trainees recognise the benefits of training and development as a critical factor for the success of future growth and sustainability of both the veterinary and farming sectors.

Our Promoting Agency

XLVets Ireland is a network of independently owned, vibrant and progressive veterinary practices that are all committed to the principle of clinical excellence. Our network encompasses over 190 veterinarians, 90 veterinary nurses, a further 160 support team members, serving more than 17% of the Irish market for veterinary products and services.
